About Emily
I am a 22 year old, LA native, who recently graduated from the class of 2019 from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. I majored in Psychology, minored in Spanish, and got a concentration in Educational studies. I have over 7 years teaching within the classroom with kids ages 5-17, 1 year of writing tutoring, and 1 month of teaching the English language.

My teaching method is to work at the pace of EACH student. I am very patient, and I know what it is like to have tutors, ask for extra help and constantly re-draft my work. I approach teaching new subjects or explaining a foreign subject to students by being very expressive with my body, visually writing things on the board, and giving clear examples. As a visual and tactile-kinaesthetic learner, visual aids, examples and slow explanations work very well for me. I try to utilize all of these methods when I teach.
