A good teacher has to be the following 3 things in order to teach anything successfully;
Since frequently students equate school and boredom. We need to be the antidote to this association. We need to keep it lively, keep it unpredictable, find ways to help students associate lessons with personal experiences. Draw real-world events and examples into the classroom regardless of subject matter.
We need to show life in the classroom. It really makes a difference for the students.
We need to engage the class by providing occasional activities that encourage movement among students to the extent that the environment allows. We need to be sure to provide alternative ways of participating in these activities for any students who might be disabled. We need to create an atmosphere that breaks students out of the educational monotony that defines much of their day.
As a teacher, your convictions will be occasionally challenged, your patience will be often tested, and you yourself will be constantly evaluated. It can all be enough to make you lose sight of how excellent you are as an educator.
I am an experienced teacher who has taught in Michigan, Chicago, and Texas. I have taught children and young adults in public schools for 3 years and I have worked and helped children/adults for 8 years. In total I have worked with over 100+ students and many have been able to achieve their goals. My strategy with my students is to keep everything simple. As it is, life is already hard why make things more complicated?
Edgar worked with my daughter and she is finally able to understand what is going on thanks to him. He made every lesson simple and was able to provide her with the knowledge that she needed. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is in need of a tutor.
Very professional. My daughter started picking up her pace in reading from one week to the next. Loving the outcome.
My daughter is finally understanding math. We appreciate how patient and motivating Edgar is with our daughter. He keeps her engaged, and working all while learning.
I highly recommend Edgar, he has helped my daughter so much in math. My daughter was failing math but thankfully Edgar was able to get her back on track. He has a lot of patience and won’t move forward unless the student has learned the foundation.
Edgar is a hard-working man and knows his criteria very well, not a lot of instructors know how to breakdown the material. Edgar is very good at explaining step by step without solving the problem himself; meaning he does not skip any steps. Definitely recommend him, you'll love the way he works! :)
I highly recommend Edgar as an instructor for math. He is very patient and doesn't give up until finding the right answer. He personally helped me with my son's homework and I will more than likely seek his help again! Also he has an amazing personality!
Edgar is an amazing teacher (without knowing it he has taught me a lot) and an amazing individual. I like to listen and watch him talk to other people as he always has a way of relating to each person. He has a way of making things fun or can bring light and positivity to each and every situation. Highly recommend!
