About Rhiannon
I am a 1st class physics graduate with a masters degree in engineering.
I have spent 2 years as a lecturing assistant for university physics students.
I am an associate fellow of the higher education academy meaning i have demonstrable experience for teaching and supporting learning in higher education.

From my experience, each student is unique and learns at a different pace. My approach is therefore tailored directly to the individual student, to build their confidence and learn in a way they enjoy.
I aim to ensure students gain a deeper understanding of the concepts they study - this sets the foundations for dealing with more difficult questions. I will breakdown and explain challenging concepts in simple ways.
I have been involved with physics education research and therefore my teaching philosophy stems around interactive and engaging teaching styles. Once the basic foundations are in place, lessons will incorporate student led practice questions that we can work through and discuss together.
The key to understanding maths and physics is lots of exposure to exam style questions! I will set exam style questions to be completed by the next session. We can then review these and discuss any queries.
