About Ben
I'm a Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering student at the University of Sheffield, this is a course that involves plenty of maths that builds on A-level, so I am very up to date.
I have A*A*A*A at A-level for Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry respectively. And also have 8 GCSEs at 6 or above including 6 at grade 9, meaning i have experience with the new grading system and with excelling in exams.

I'm a patient and enthusiastic tutor that believes in the importance of students making mistakes, and asking questions, in order to convert weaknesses into strengths, and boost exam confidence.
I have many tips and resources to share, that helped me achieve in my exams.
Lessons will typically be one hour long (longer if required, e.g. to go through a paper) and will be taught via google teams, using an electronic whiteboard.
Typical lesson structure:
• Student asks me any questions they have from content they have covered in class or homework.
• Teach topics either based on these questions, tutee choice or from the next part of the syllabus. (So the process is learned, not just the answer)
• Go through example questions related to this topic (to solidify learning and build exam technique)
• Give the tutee a few unguided questions and then feedback
• Discuss plans for the next lesson and what can be done independently before then
