Hello, my name is Thomas Frost.
I am currently studying to become a Physician Associate at Worcester University and am looking to tutor in the surrounding area or online. My subjects are any of the sciences and mathematics, with a particular preference for Biology. All of these subjects I have learnt to at least an A-Level standard and more as part of my BSc Biomedical Science which I studied at the University of Southampton.
As part of my undergraduate degree, I undertook a teaching module in place of a dissertation. This helped give me the confidence and skills needed to teach complicated topics to A-level pupils ahead of where their syllabus had taken them in the year so far. I also have experience coaching tennis with my level 1 LTA coaching award.
Experienced with the following syllabuses:
AQA GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Edexcel GCSE Mathematics
AQA A-Level Biology and Physics
OCR A-Level Chemistry B (Salters) and Mathematics
(Of course I should be able to adapt to any syllabus but it may take time for me to prepare material to teach a different one from those listed above)
My methods are the same whether I am working online or in person. I have access to a electronic pad which allows me to create an interactive whiteboard for me to teach online. I am proficient at using Powerpoint and so would be able to create lessons and quizzes in order to provide a fun and interactive learning environment. I also have a small whiteboard which would obviously replace my electronic one if I was tutoring in person.
I am available for tutoring every weekday evening after school times as this is when my lectures finish. I could also be available at weekends but booking in advance would be ideal.
