PhD in Environmental Sciences - Soil Sciences
MS in Geology
I use a student-centered teaching approach. I utilize student natural interests as a backbone, over which students can expand their knowledge in specific disciplines.
My focus is on understanding and applying key concepts, not on regurgitation of learned facts.
I have taught environmental science, geology, soil science and geochemistry at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for 11 years as a full-time faculty, and 4 years as a teaching assistant.
I have mentored over 15 students in research, from BS to Phd levels. I have advised, and edited 3 Phd and 8 MS theses.
