About Rylan

I am a graduate student with a strong background in Environmental Studies, with a focus on sustainability, climate change, and environmental policy. My passion for the environment is matched by a deep commitment to helping others understand the complex issues we face today. Having studied at Northeastern University and Cambridge, I’ve gained a broad perspective on global environmental challenges and solutions. Through my tutoring, I aim to share this knowledge in an approachable, engaging way, focusing on developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that students can apply to both academic and real-world situations. I bring an interdisciplinary approach to my lessons, combining environmental science, policy analysis, and practical sustainability strategies to give students a comprehensive understanding of the field. Outside of tutoring, I have worked on various environmental projects, from climate resilience to sustainable business practices, and I bring this real-world experience into my lessons to ensure that students can relate what they learn to current issues in the field.

About the lesson

I am an Environmental Studies graduate student with a strong passion for sustainability and a commitment to making complex environmental topics accessible to all learners. My approach to tutoring is centred on fostering a deep understanding of the material through interactive and engaging lessons. I use a combination of real-world examples, case studies, and multimedia resources to bring the subject to life and ensure that my students not only learn but also apply their knowledge effectively. Each lesson typically lasts for one hour, allowing us to cover key concepts in detail while also leaving room for questions and discussion. I adapt my teaching methodology to the individual needs of each student, ensuring that lessons are paced appropriately, whether for a high school student tackling introductory concepts or a university student diving deeper into environmental policy and science. With experience in tutoring a range of students at various levels, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable engaging with the material and developing their critical thinking skills. Whether you're preparing for exams or simply looking to gain a better understanding of environmental issues, I’m here to guide you through the learning process.
