About Lucas
I am a DPhil candidate in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford (Oxford Thermofluids Institute). I hold an MRes from Cambridge and an MSc and BSc in Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honours, and I am a Chartered Engineer in Italy. I am the author of The ESAT Move Register, a practice book for the ESAT. I tutor for several UK admissions and tutoring agencies, and I have taught at university level on the Oxford Study Abroad Programme and tutored fluid mechanics in Spain.

Each lesson is built around the student's goals, whether that's the ESAT or TMUA, an Oxbridge interview, or A-level Maths, Further Maths and Physics. We work through exam-style problems together, focusing on method, speed and the reasoning examiners look for. I adapt the pace to each student and set targeted practice between sessions. Lessons usually last 60 minutes and are aimed at sixth-form students and university applicants. I also teach university engineering topics, including fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
