About Tara
I earned my Master’s Degree Teaching English as a Second Language in 2011, and I have taught students from many different backgrounds and countries around the world. Most recently, I tutored young students to support their ESL school courses. I have also worked with business executives to reduce their accent and improve clarity and skill in public speaking. I have taught courses for the past few years in Grammar, Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. I am very experienced in designing lessons to fit the needs of a student(s), and I am able to tailor a lesson to any age, level, or language goal.

Sample Lesson Plan
Objective: To acquire skills in writing a resume and practice interview scenarios.
- Preview Lesson: listen to a job interview, pick out important grammar and vocabulary
- Introduce purpose and new vocabulary: discuss what is expected in a resume and provide a list of strong words that can be used in a resume
- Review and analyze a writing sample: focus on words that are used, grammar and uniformity
- Practice resume skills:
Students model a resume after the example with their own background and experiences while teacher reviews
- Develop sample interview questions that could fit with each resume and practice interviewing in groups. Give feedback if time allows.
- Homework/continued practice
