About Yat Fung
Hello,
How's everything going today? I am Adonis. My pronoun is he/him. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and I studied in Los Angeles, California before. Right now, I am a tutor in Canada. With several years of experience living in different places, I have experienced a lot of things that make me feel excited, sad, happy, and even exhausted. I believe that you may also find a lot of different emotions when you study. No worries! I am here to help you. Human beings are considered group animals. By helping each other, we can successfully build a beautiful society. I won't bite you but I will help you to beat all these difficulties!

Hello,
I am Yat Fung Wong, an ESL tutor for elementary students. As I mentioned before, I am knowledgeable about Language Development and Bilingualism. My teaching method is to give students a small quiz first before starting a lesson. The quiz is based on the basic knowledge of English, and it mainly focuses on their perception and production of English. After finishing the quiz, I will find out the incorrect parts and then start to put the problems together, which can give me some clues why they have those problems. For example, Chinese native speakers may have problems with producing English consonants since Chinese does not have two consonants being produced together. Japanese students may have huge problems with producing vowels since Japanese has only five vowels in International Phonetics Alphabet (IPA), and Canadian English has around 12 vowels. Different ESL students have different special needs since their native language affects their perception and production of a language. Therefore, with my basic knowledge of linguistics, I can use the best way to help ESL students to learn English.
