About Jillian
I have been teaching ESL students for over 20 years in both classrooms, and online. I've taught students from Brazil, Portugal, Germany, India, France, China, Mexico, Greece and Turkey, just to name a few!
With a Master's in Communication and a CELTA certificate, I have taught in college classrooms as well as company settings.
My greatest inspiration in teaching is watching my students improve which motivates them to keep learning.

I work to help students become independent readers by teaching techniques such as previewing, contextualizing, visualizing, summarizing, skimming, and scanning.
My students are supported by using texts that are of interest to them, making reading more fun and interesting.
My goal is always to support my students, help motivate and encourage them to enjoy the process while keeping the end goal in mind.
