About Tanya

I have always been a caring person with a servant’s heart. While being highly sensitive has presented challenges in my life, I believe it has also fostered a deep sense of empathy. This allows me to meet people where they are, help break down the fear of learning, and support them as they grow in self-confidence.

I am also a photographer, and I love taking pictures of families, couples, and weddings. Bringing joy to people’s lives and smiles to their faces is a natural gift of mine. I feel blessed to use this gift and to express my creativity.

About the lesson

What makes me the teacher you might be looking for? Well, I have a background in drama and the creative arts, so my lessons are energetic and full of life. I taught for five years in China and Hong Kong, and that experience taught me so much. Working with young children, teenagers, and adults showed me that connection, passion, empathy, and mutual respect always come first.
English is a powerful tool. It can empower children to be the very best they can be—to go out into the world emboldened to live their dreams. I believe teaching is a calling, one that requires sensitivity and discernment. We all need to feel connected on a deep level to feel safe, and I believe creating a safe space and gaining trust are fundamental to fostering a real atmosphere of learning.
A little about me: I am a very intuitive and kind teacher, deeply attuned to my students' needs. I'm also musical and artistic!
To sum it up: For me, great teaching mixes preparation with heart. It’s about building the confidence that lets every student fully participate, no matter their level, without fear of judgment. These are the foundational building blocks.
