About Alexander
I want to share my passion for knowledge with students, illuminating to them the fulfilling processes of discovery and understanding of historical events from around the world. Certainly, it is this hunger for information that has led to my success in higher education and driven me toward tutoring.
As someone who struggled with dyslexia at school, I am also empathetic to those who find parts of their education difficult. I therefore appreciate how useful extra, patient, one-on-one learning can be, having benefited hugely from it myself.
Importantly, I understand the key place education holds for someone's confidence in life. As a result, my tutorship will encourage students to try their strengths and come away with self assurance in their subjects.

I offer affordable, pre-planned lessons to help students with coursework, essays and homework.
Sharing my experience in regularly gaining distinction-level grades on both MA/BA university courses, and A* grades in Geography and History at A-Level and GSCE respectively (gained full marks in Geography A2 exam!), I will patiently guide students on how to write stronger and more coherent essays, compelling analyses, and, if required, engaging oral presentations.
Whilst I specialise in Geography, International Relations, and History, I am also suited to provide essay writing tutoring to all humanities students more broadly.
One basic aim of my tutorship is to clarify complicated or overwhelming information for my students, identifying how best they can understand and approach their topics.
Moreover, using my training and experience as a mentor at the charity Refugee Resource, I will offer non-judgemental support and aim to empower a student's self confidence in their subject by working alongside them, encouraging their own intuition during the sessions - rather than simply telling them what to do.
I am flexible on lesson dates and length - although I believe one hour sessions are most appropriate. Available to provide lessons in both London and Oxford.
