About Gary

- Teaching guitar, bass and other instruments since 2011.

I LOVE seeing my students progress, especially the smiles on their faces when they have mastered something that is important to them.

I come from a family of educators; fortunately, I love teaching too.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and am a certified Music teacher for a public school.

I have several decades’ experience not only in teaching, but also playing in various bands, as well as both stage and studio experience.

About the lesson

Every lesson I give is centered around the student's wants and needs - not mine! Tell me your playing experience (it's okay if you don't have any!), what kind of music you like, who some of your favorite musicians are and what your playing goals are, and we will figure it out together from there!

I have literally taught as young as 4 years old and as old as 84 years old.

When not giving instrumental lessons, I teach at an elementary school.

Several students recently auditioned for and performed in their school’s spring talent show. It was so much fun to watch and listen to them!
