About Cheryl

I'm an enthusiastic educator with a passion for helping learners succeed. I bring nearly 20 years of experience teaching high school math and sciences. I look forward to helping you reach your academic goals in any math, science, biology or chemistry class!

About the lesson

I'm flexible and personable in my approach and work directly with my students to understand their individual learning needs and goals. Together we can develop a plan for success with a focus on developing a deeper understanding of concepts and processes. Over the last 20 years, I have taught primarily math and science (general, biology & chemistry) to grades 7-12 and tutored grades 1-12 in a variety of subjects.

I’ve been working with this student this year in both Grade 11 Biology and Math, and she’s been a great student to tutor. She takes the time to really read and understand each question, and she’s very good at recognizing where she went wrong and learning from it.

She doesn’t rush through things—she’s thoughtful, asks good questions, and is genuinely focused on improving. It’s been great to see her confidence grow as she builds a stronger understanding of the material.
