About Alina
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce in Information Systems and a Master of Science in Data Analytics. Over the past 8 years, I have trained students and professionals in Excel and data analysis. My interest in Excel began with its ability to transform raw data into meaningful insights. Teaching allows me to share this skill and help learners become confident in handling data.
My teaching philosophy focuses on clarity, structured learning, and real-world application. I believe students learn best through hands-on practice rather than theory alone. I guide learners step by step so they understand both the logic and application behind each function. This builds strong confidence and long-term skill retention.
Outside teaching, I enjoy working with data visualization tools, exploring business intelligence systems, and analyzing real-world datasets. My Excel lessons are designed to help students become confident in organizing, analyzing, and presenting data effectively. I focus on essential topics such as spreadsheet structure, formulas, functions, data cleaning, sorting, filtering, charts, and pivot tables. Each concept is explained in a clear, step-by-step manner so learners can understand how Excel works in real-world scenarios. I use practical business and academic examples to make learning meaningful and easy to apply.
Students are guided based on their skill level and learning goals. Beginners focus on basic spreadsheet operations, formatting, and simple formulas like SUM and IF. Intermediate learners develop skills in lookup functions, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and data visualization. Advanced learners explore dashboards, automation, and advanced reporting techniques. Every lesson includes hands-on exercises and guided problem-solving to build confidence and accuracy.
My goal is to help students use Excel as a powerful tool for analysis and decision-making. As learners progress, they develop stronger analytical thinking and data interpretation skills. Excel becomes not just software, but a structured way of thinking about data. I encourage consistency, practice, and curiosity in every lesson.
