About Tess
I have 7 years of experience teaching Excel and helping students build strong data skills and confidence. I hold a Master’s Degree in Information Systems, which gave me deep knowledge of data tools and systems. Over the years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and helped them improve through clear and structured teaching methods.
My teaching style is simple, practical, and focused on clarity. I believe Excel should be taught in a way that is easy to understand and apply. I break down complex tools into smaller steps and use real-life examples to make learning effective. I encourage students to ask questions and practice regularly to build confidence.
I continue to stay updated with new Excel features and improve my teaching methods. Teaching Excel is very meaningful to me because I see students grow in confidence and skills over time. Helping them succeed gives me great satisfaction. My goal is to support every learner in building strong knowledge, confidence, and practical ability, so they can use Excel effectively and manage data with clarity, independence, and confidence in different situations.

Excel becomes easier when students understand how to use tools step by step instead of memorizing formulas without clarity. In my lessons, I focus on building strong skills in spreadsheets, formulas, formatting, and data analysis. I explain each concept in simple English so students can follow comfortably. I also use real-life examples such as budgeting, reporting, and data tracking to make learning practical and meaningful. This helps reduce confusion and builds confidence gradually. I create a calm and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing regularly.
Lessons are structured based on the student’s level and learning goals. Beginners focus on basic navigation, data entry, and simple formulas. Intermediate learners work on functions like IF, VLOOKUP, and charts. Advanced students explore pivot tables, dashboards, and automation techniques. I provide step-by-step explanations, hands-on practice, and regular feedback to ensure strong understanding. This structured approach helps students improve steadily and build confidence over time.
As students continue learning, they develop strong data handling and problem-solving skills. They become more confident in organizing and analyzing information effectively. Many students begin to enjoy working with data as they understand its value. My goal is to help learners build strong technical skills and confidence. I guide them to become independent users who can manage spreadsheets efficiently, solve problems clearly, and apply Excel skills effectively in academic, professional, and real-life situations with accuracy, confidence, and ease.
