About Elise

My journey with Excel began during my undergraduate studies, recognizing its power as a tool for organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data. This motivated me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Applications and an M.Sc in Data Analytics, equipping me with a deep understanding of data management, statistical functions, and spreadsheet automation. Over the past 7 years, I have taught students at multiple levels, helping them gain confidence in handling data, performing analysis, and visualizing results effectively.

I focus on creating interactive, practical lessons where students learn by doing. I emphasize hands-on exercises, real-world examples, and problem-solving scenarios that make the application of Excel intuitive and relevant. My approach ensures that students develop both technical expertise and confidence in their ability to manage and analyze data independently.

Outside teaching, I continuously explore new Excel functions, automation techniques, and data visualization strategies, integrating these innovations into lessons to provide contemporary relevance. Watching learners progress from uncertainty to efficiency, and gain independence in data management, is deeply satisfying. My goal is to equip every student with the skills, analytical mindset, and confidence needed to excel in data analysis and real-world spreadsheet tasks.

About the lesson

Microsoft Excel is more than a spreadsheet tool; it is a powerful platform for data organization, analysis, and decision-making. My lessons focus on helping learners understand formulas, functions, data visualization, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and real-world problem-solving using Excel. Each lesson combines theory with hands-on exercises that allow students to immediately apply concepts to practical datasets. I aim to make Excel approachable and engaging, demonstrating how these skills are useful not only academically but also in professional and personal contexts.

Lesson plans are customized to the learner’s proficiency level. Beginners start with navigation, basic functions, formatting, and simple data organization. Intermediate learners explore more advanced functions, conditional formulas, charts, tables, and problem-solving exercises. Advanced learners focus on data analysis, automation through macros, pivot tables, and scenario-based exercises to enhance efficiency and analytical depth. Each session is designed to reinforce comprehension, build speed, and foster confidence in applying Excel to solve real-world problems.
