About Penelope

My interest in spreadsheet tools began while studying how digital software can help manage and analyze large amounts of information. I became fascinated by the way Excel allows users to perform complex calculations and present data in clear visual formats. This interest encouraged me to pursue a Bachelor’s in Information Technology followed by a Master’s in Information Systems.

During the past 6 years, I have helped students and professionals learn how to use Excel effectively. Many learners initially feel overwhelmed when they see large spreadsheets or complex formulas. Because of this, I focus on teaching step by step so students can understand each feature and gradually develop their skills.

My teaching approach emphasizes practical exercises and real examples for the students, so learners can apply what they learned immediately. I believe that consistent practice and clear explanation are the keys to building strong spreadsheet skills.

About the lesson

My Excel lessons are designed to help learners understand how to organize and analyze information using spreadsheet tools. Many people use Excel only for simple calculations, but the program offers many powerful features that can simplify data management and analysis. In my lessons, I explain how formulas, functions, and tables work so students can use Excel more effectively.

Lessons are structured according to the learner’s level of experience. Beginners start by learning the basic interface, entering data, formatting cells, and performing simple calculations. Intermediate learners explore formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE, and logical functions while learning how to sort and filter data efficiently. Advanced students practice using pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas that help analyze large sets of information.

Excel becomes a valuable skill when students realize how it can simplify everyday tasks such as organizing data, tracking information, and creating reports. My goal is to help learners develop confidence when working with spreadsheets so they can apply these skills in academic studies, office work, and professional environments.
