About Colette
My interest in Excel started with a fascination for data organization, analysis, and visualization. I earned a B.Sc in Information Systems, studying database management, data analysis, and spreadsheet techniques. Over the past 7 years, I have guided learners at all levels, emphasizing hands-on practice, conceptual understanding, and independent problem-solving. I teach with patience, clarity, and adaptability. Lessons incorporate step-by-step instruction, visual examples, and real-world exercises to help learners internalize concepts and develop practical skills. I encourage exploration, experimentation, and problem-solving to cultivate confidence and independence. Outside teaching, I engage with data analysis projects, financial modeling, and emerging spreadsheet technologies to enrich lessons. Witnessing students grow from tentative learners into confident, independent users who can interpret and analyze data is deeply rewarding. My goal is to equip learners with both technical mastery and analytical thinking applicable in professional and personal contexts.

This approach enhances analytical thinking, decision-making skills, and problem-solving.
Lesson plans are tailored to student proficiency. Beginners explore navigation, basic formulas, formatting, and simple charts. Intermediate learners focus on advanced formulas, pivot tables, conditional logic, and visualizations. Advanced students tackle macros, automation, complex financial modeling, and multi-step data projects. Guided exercises, reasoning prompts, and structured feedback ensure learners steadily develop mastery and independence.
