About Nolan
My interest in Excel and data systems began from curiosity about how organizations manage large amounts of information and use it to make decisions. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and have 6 years of teaching experience. Over time, I have helped students and professionals develop strong spreadsheet and data-handling skills.
I believe Excel becomes easier when learners understand the logic behind formulas instead of memorizing them. My teaching method focuses on breaking down functions step by step and connecting them with real-world data examples. I encourage consistent practice and exploration of multiple methods to solve the same problem.
In the long run, my goal is to help learners become confident data handlers who can work efficiently in any professional environment. I aim to develop their ability to build reports, analyze business data, and support decision-making processes. As they advance, they gain the confidence to handle complex datasets, automate tasks, and contribute effectively in roles where data accuracy, speed, and clarity are essential for success.

My Excel lessons are designed to help students understand how data can be organized, analyzed, and transformed into useful information. I teach topics such as formulas, functions, data cleaning, charts, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and basic automation tools. Instead of treating Excel as just software, I help students see it as a powerful tool for logical thinking and decision-making in real-world scenarios.
Each lesson is structured based on the learner’s level. Beginners focus on basic navigation, simple formulas, and spreadsheet structure. Intermediate learners work on data analysis, reporting techniques, and function combinations. Advanced learners focus on dashboards, complex formulas, and professional reporting systems. Regular practice is included to build confidence and accuracy.
In the long run, my goal is to help students become highly skilled in working with data so they can make informed decisions in academic, business, and professional environments. As they progress, they begin to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and create meaningful reports that support decision-making processes. This skill becomes extremely valuable in careers involving business analysis, finance, administration, and research where data interpretation is essential for success and growth.
