About Kian

My interest in Excel started when I realised how useful it is for organising information and improving efficiency. I completed a Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, where I developed strong skills in data handling and analysis. Over the past 4 years, I have helped students and professionals learn Excel through clear explanations and practical learning methods. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge while helping others build confidence in using technology effectively.

My teaching style focuses on simplicity, clarity, and hands-on practice. I believe students learn best when they actively use tools while learning. I demonstrate each concept step by step and then guide learners as they practise on their own. This helps them understand both how and why a feature works. I also adapt my lessons to match each student’s pace so they feel comfortable and supported throughout the learning process.

I continue learning about new Excel features and improving my teaching methods to provide better learning experiences. Watching students grow from beginners to confident users is very rewarding. Many learners start with little experience but quickly develop strong skills and independence. Helping them gain confidence and practical knowledge is one of the most fulfilling parts of my teaching journey.

About the lesson

Excel becomes much easier when students understand how data can be organised clearly and used to make decisions. In my lessons, I focus on teaching spreadsheet basics, formulae, data formatting, and reporting tools using simple and practical explanations. I guide students step by step so they can understand how each feature works and why it is useful. I also use real-life examples such as budgeting, tracking performance, and managing records to make learning meaningful. This helps students connect theory with practice and reduces confusion. My lessons are designed to be interactive, allowing students to practise every concept and gain confidence as they learn.

Lessons are structured based on the student’s experience and learning goals. Beginners start with understanding spreadsheet layout, simple formulae, and basic data entry. Intermediate learners work on functions, charts, and organising large sets of data. Advanced students focus on pivot tables, data analysis, and improving efficiency in handling information. I include practice exercises in every session so students can apply what they learn and improve steadily. Clear feedback helps them understand mistakes and build stronger skills over time.

As students improve, they begin to see Excel as a powerful tool rather than a difficult one. Many learners gain confidence as they learn to manage data effectively and complete tasks faster. These skills become useful in both academic and professional settings. My goal is to help students feel comfortable using Excel tools and develop practical abilities that they can confidently apply in real-world situations.
