About Isabel
My passion for Excel emerged from observing how data could be transformed into meaningful insights and organized efficiently. This inspired me to pursue a B.Sc in Information Systems and an M.Sc in Data Analytics, equipping me with the knowledge to teach both foundational and advanced Excel skills. Over 8 years, I have guided learners across diverse levels, helping them gain proficiency, analytical ability, and confidence in working with spreadsheets and data.
I follow a student-centered teaching approach combining hands-on exercises, clear explanations, real-world examples, and iterative guidance. I encourage learners to explore features, experiment with formulas, and develop problem-solving strategies that foster independence and skill mastery.
Outside teaching, I engage in data analysis projects, Excel-based workflow improvements, and continued learning on new functionalities. Seeing learners gain confidence, efficiency, and analytical understanding in Excel is highly rewarding. Supporting students to become capable, independent, and confident users of Excel is the core purpose of my work.

My lessons cover spreadsheet fundamentals, formulas, functions, charts, pivot tables, data visualization, and automation tools. I provide step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, and interactive exercises that allow students to develop confidence, accuracy, and efficiency while handling complex datasets. Each session emphasizes both practical application and conceptual understanding.
Lesson plans are tailored to the student’s skill level. Beginners focus on basic navigation, cell formatting, simple formulas, and chart creation. Intermediate learners tackle advanced formulas, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and data validation to develop analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced learners explore macros, automation, complex data modeling, and dashboard creation, with guided exercises, iterative feedback, and personalized support. Each lesson balances practical tasks, conceptual understanding, and analytical thinking.
Learning Excel builds analytical thinking, data literacy, and efficiency. Students gain the confidence to handle datasets independently, create visualizations, and perform complex analyses for academic, business, or personal projects.
