About Ellie
I am a passionate and experienced piano tutor with over 17+ years of teaching experience, helping students of all levels, from school children to college students and working professionals. I strongly believe that piano learning should be structured, fun, and practical.
My teaching approach focuses on clear communication, patience, and understanding the individual needs and goals of each student. I design personalised lesson plans that strengthen fundamentals like finger technique, rhythm, sight-reading, and hand coordination, while gradually introducing advanced techniques when students are ready.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm exercises to build well-rounded musicianship. I often use creative exercises, song-based learning, and performance practice to make lessons engaging and enjoyable. My strength is breaking down complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand steps, which helps students stay motivated and confident.
I also guide students in developing disciplined practice habits and maintaining consistency. My aim is to create a supportive, inspiring, and encouraging environment where students can grow into confident, skilled, and passionate pianists.

Through clear communication, I learn about each student’s goals, challenges, and learning preferences, allowing me to design lessons that are highly personalised and effective.
Creativity is encouraged in every lesson. Students are guided to improvise, compose, and explore different musical genres, helping them develop artistic confidence and a personal musical voice. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and learning style, fostering steady progress and long-term growth.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This comprehensive methodology develops technical mastery, expressive skills, and musical understanding. My aim is to inspire students to become confident, skilled, and lifelong musicians.
