About James
I have taught ESL at Berlitz (Spain), Disney English (China), Pearson (China), Wall Street English (China), and EF Education First (USA) -- More than 12 years combined. In addition, I taught ballroom dancing for 14 years, and trained more than 25 people to be live-sound engineers for concerts. My partner and I opened a nightclub together in 2002, and had a successful DJ business which we sold in 2010. I bring 46 years of work experience to every lesson. Having attended Northeastern Illinois University and graduated from the University of South Florida, I also earned a TEFL from Oxford Seminars.

I teach highly-motivated students who 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 to learn to communicate well in English. I can help immensely with the classes you are taking, using your book and your lessons, or I can tailor a specific plan just for you. Although I only teach adults, I can start at the beginning, assuming you have no knowledge of English. Or I can help you prepare for University, helping with writing style and proper syntax. With an extensive background in business, I can help with business buzzwords, and occupational-specific jargon. Explain what you need, and I can help you achieve your goals. Serious adult students only (18+).
