About Bex
I'm a qualified teacher, private tutor, mentor and educational progress coach. I'm here to help you get the best out of yourself and guide you to do well. My main subject areas are German, Portuguese, EAL, English, Film and Media Studies, Study Skills, and Special Needs teaching, particularly dyslexia support.
I have a PhD and 7 years experience teaching in either the Secondary, FE or HE (university) sectors and have tutored both adults and children. I'm also a educational progress coach and a mentor, so if you require mentoring or coaching, I could also provide that.

My teaching style is to ask students questions to see if they know the answers. I then give them strategies to try to work out the answers and guide them to think for themselves to become independent learners. With the introduction of the the new GCSE, being able to think for yourself and develop critical thinking skills early is a real advance. I'm friendly and approachable and always willing to answer any questions you might have. Please get in touch if you have any questions!
