About Max
Hi! I’m an 18-year-old Accounting and Finance student at the University of Exeter. I’ve always been passionate about learning especially in Maths, Economics, and Science and I’m now sharing that passion by helping other students achieve their goals. Outside of studying, I’m a very active person. I do boxing and running, and I'm involved in coding as well as the Business and Finance Society at university. I recently backpacked across Asia, which gave me a real appreciation for different cultures and ways of thinking — something I try to bring into my lessons to make learning more interesting and relatable. I believe tutoring isn’t just about getting the right answers it’s about building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and understanding how subjects connect to the real world. I’m easy to talk to, patient, and always happy to adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want to feel more confident in class, I’ll help you get there.

Hi! I’m an 18-year-old student currently studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Exeter. I achieved A*A*A at A-level (Maths, Economics and Finance) and five 9s, two 8s, one 7 and one 6 at GCSE. I offer tutoring in Maths, Economics, Statistics, English and Science for GCSE and A-Level students, as well as younger years who want to build confidence in these subjects. My lessons are relaxed but focused. I make sure students actually understand the concepts, not just memorise them. I like to break tricky topics down into simple steps, use real-life examples (especially in Maths and Economics), and show how everything connects. Each session is tailored to your goals whether that’s improving grades, building exam confidence, or just getting back on track in a subject you’re finding difficult. I’ve been through the exam system recently myself, so I know how to revise effectively, manage time, and meet exam mark-scheme expectations.
