About Charly
I am a sculptor and artistic performer who graduated two years ago. I taught art in Hanoi, Vietnam for 4 months. I have exhibited across the UK and have had international art jobs. I can offer practical sculpture lessons alongside advice on how to navigate the art industry for a newly emerging artist. I also offer fun experimental classes for amateurs and hobbyists. A lot of our classes will take place in different locations creating site specific installations and sculptures.

My teaching method is very physical based, I think people learn by doing and I will utilise lots of interesting games and tasks to get your creative juices flowing. I will also provide the student with things to go see and do outside of our lesson time. The start if the lesson will be predominately performance based as we navigate dance art forms such as butoh and interpretive dance. It is up to the student whether we continue down the performative route or sculptural. If sculptural for example on your first lesson I might begin by drawing which we can then turn into a relief sculpture. We will start with clay as it is the most forgiving to handle.
