About Kennedy
Hi, I'm Kennedy! I'm 21 years old and enjoy reading, stand up comedy, making music, and acting. I love to learn, and I love to help others learn just as much!
In eighth and ninth grade, I tutored several elementary schoolers in an after school program. My senior year of high school, I took a class on tutoring and applied it to tutoring freshmen in English (particularly essay writing). I'm extremely passionate about literature (especially Shakespeare), among other topics mentioned in my lessons bio.
I chose to apply for a teaching job and not a more entry level job because I truly enjoy teaching, tutoring, and working with people. Doing so is very fulfilling for me, so I will put my all into making sure students are enjoying learning! I can work with a group of students, or one-on-one.
My dream is to be part of a support system for kids that my teachers were for me.

I will work with you to make lessons not just educational, but fun and memorable too! I love teaching and helping students. I have personal experience with neurodiversity and am comfortable working with neurodivergent students. I have a love for psychology, English, literature, and history and can tutor elementary through high school levels. I can likewise teach elementary and middle school science.
I'm very open to feedback and take teaching seriously- but I want to make it fun for students, too! I was taught to work with hands on learning, and have experience working with powerpoint. Lessons would involve a powerpoint, activity, an eventual hands on project, and perhaps a writing assignment (depending on subject).
I can work part time before May and full time from late May to August. I'm open to teaching on zoom, but highly prefer in person.
