About Nancy
Experienced and accomplished lawyer specialized in Public Administration, extensive experience in teaching at secondary, intermediate, higher levels and professionalization courses; looking to leverage extensive background in the academic field.
I have a well-rounded kill set in lesson planning and honored talents in secondary, high school,
college and university, student counseling. Further, I am a recognized expert in critical thinking and a communicative collaborator. My previous roles have strengthened my capabilities in communication. As a bilingual speaker (English-Spanish), I developed a high ability to translate and interpret simultaneously if necessary, also able to translate complex text into easily readable material. This ability makes it much easier to help those who interested to learn Spanish as a second language.
, I have had the opportunity to teach in both (Spanish and English) different subjects, courses and conferences, presential and online, including secondary, high school, Bachelor degree. As well I have had the opportunity to participate as speaker in different conferences and professionalization courses to public servants at different levels and areas of government.
Here in New Zealand, during the emergency derived from the lock down due to Covid-19, I developed a course to teach conversational Spanish online, since then I have been teaching these courses. I also participated and I have been participating in translations related to information from the New Zealand government in relation to COVID 19, making daily deliveries of these translations in both writing and in audio during the lockdown and currently twice per week.
My recent work experience has allowed me to develop strong ties with the Spanish-speaking community (former refugees) knowing their families, background, and current needs. I am excited to have the opportunity to be part of your team.

My teaching method is based in the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) Method, I assume the language as an extension of the culture, in that order of ideas the lessons are design to teach-learn the Spanish language by doing, emphasis is on fluency rather than accuracy.It is a student-centered approach, focused in generate a conversational skill.
