About Heidi

I am a certified teacher and certified principal with 15 years of experience in public schools. I love working with kids and I enjoy using my creativity to find the best ways to help them learn.

Each student is unique and I feel that creating relationships with each one helps to keep them engaged with the learning. Once I have gotten to know the student, I develop a plan that best meets his/her needs.

About the lesson

I tutor all subjects at the elementary level but I specialize in teaching reading and writing to K-3 students. Using a variety of materials, books, and games helps keep students engaged with the learning. Getting to know the topics that interest a student encourages successful progress.

I have experience with ADHD, Autism/Asberger's, Special Education, Gifted, English Language Learners, trauma informed teaching, and more.
