About Lilian
Hello! My name is Lilian. I am a recent UC Berkeley graduate. My background in Linguistics means my spelling, grammar and punctuation are impeccable and I understand the nuances of different genres and registers of both written and spoken language.
I speak and write English fluently and have basic French skills. I hold strong knowledge of syntax, morphology, semantics and grammar of the English language. Over the course of this year, I have worked collecting language data from an array of language families for a second language learning NLP model at my university. Therefore, I am able to draw connections between English and other languages and I interact well with people from all kinds of backgrounds and in different circumstances.
I am well organized, work well with changing priorities and have excellent computer skills as I regularly use Zoom and I am very proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva.
My lesson plans will draw on TEFL/TESOL models as well content from my academic studies. I can tailor content to fit specific needs of any individual and have the ability to provide my students with a comprehensive, professional, and real-life-oriented understanding of the English language.
