About Joshua
I'm currently a second year student at the University of Warwick studying towards an integrated masters of physics, and despite the challenges of the degree, have thoroughly enjoyed what I have been taught and look forwards to future content, especially particle physics modules.
The modules I am currently take include Hamiltonian Mechanics, Fluid Dynamics, Quantum Mechanics, Electromagnetic Theory, Statistical Mechanics and others.
Being a member of the swim club for Warwick, I also have a strong passion for swimming and competing, which I have been doing since I was young, with a several-year break before joining uni where I have re-kindled my love for competing.
I have also worked as a private 1:1 tutor, teaching maths at a GCSE and A-level standard and currently assist in external classroom Maths sessions which ranges from KS2 to A level content, and have been for two years.Physics allows us to see and understand the world we live in to a great extent, and I am passionate to help others gain this insight into the natural world through it!
(For those interested, I have achieved A*s in maths, further maths and physics at an A level standard)

In order to grasp a topic, I work through questions and concepts that you are less confident in, building a grounding to work up from. This will be done via diagrams, derivations and application, working through problems .
The lessons will be held on an interactive whiteboard, where both sides can collaborate, and discuss problems together.
At the end of the lesson, a copy of the whiteboard will be available to be able to look back at the notes made during the lesson.
Having achieved Distinction in AEA mathematics, I can also assist with these more challenging questions.
Whether you want to revise topics or cover content ahead of your class, I am happy to cover any content from A-Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

As a tutor myself, I can say I would highly recommend Josh as a math/physics tutor. He is a very friendly and approachable person, who teaches in an engaging way. When explaining things he remains patient and has the knowledge to explain in a lot of detail!
Having known Josh for a long time, I have seen his strong ability as a tutor. He has helped me to understand many maths concepts that the teacher's explanations had me struggling with and his passion for physics makes the subject seem engaging! Overall, he will not disappoint.
