About Alice
I am a passionate and dedicated Gaeilge tutor currently studying Secondary Education in Irish and Spanish. I offer grinds for both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle students, with a strong focus on exam preparation and building confidence in the language. My approach involves breaking down exam structures in a clear and manageable way, helping students understand exactly what is expected of them. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs of the student, whether they want to focus on oral work, written pieces, grammar, or comprehension. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable of achieving their best.

I focus on exam preparation rather than just memorizing notes. My goal is to show students exactly how to pick up marks in the Junior and Leaving Cert Irish exams.
We break down the SEC marking schemes so you know exactly what examiners are looking for.
I provide "Skeleton Frameworks" for the Aiste (essay) and literature, making it easy to adapt your knowledge to any question.
We work through past papers to master Reading Comprehensions and timing.
Lesson Details
Length: 60-minute
Format: A mix of content review (Poetry/Prose/Grammar) and timed exam practice.
Location: Available for in-person lessons in Moate/Athlone or online via Zoom.
