About Daniel
Having graduated with a First-Class Master in Science (MSci) degree in Biological Sciences, I have embarked upon a career in biology and environmental education.. Since graduating, I have worked as an Academic Coach at two colleges in Birmingham, where I have tutored A Level students on a range of science subjects. I have also acted as a School Coordinator on a research expedition into the Honduran cloud forest, looking after students and teaching them about the ecosystem and the animals that inhabit it. I have also worked as an Education Assistant at BirdLife Malta, where I designed educational resources for the general public and Malta's schools, while also delivering engaging and insightful environmental education in the field.
I have recently acted as a University Access Officer at two school in Birmingham, providing students with tailored guidance on reaching their academic potential and career options.
I am currently studying for a Masters in Social Inequalities and Research Methods.

My teaching method is based around generating an excitement and appreciation for the subject in question. I strongly believe that a passionate approach to teaching and a thorough exploration of the subject enables students to develop greater confidence in their abilities. When combined with frequent informal testing, this enables us to identify any gaps in their knowledge and understanding, which can then be addressed.
