About Nicole

My career has encompassed c.30 years working in the global arts/humanities/education sector - working in both secondary and tertiary (HE) institutions. As an experienced academic and practitioner who prioritises a commitment to up-to-date, relevant, and progressive knowledge transfer, I have a demonstrable track record in supporting students across various arts-led disciplines, in both academic and practice-based settings. Following my undergraduate degree/Masters awards from conservatoires in Australia and Ireland, I received my Doctor of Music award from the Royal College of Music (London) in 2014. This training has instilled a deep and directed understanding of the contemporary arts/humanities practitioner: how they may build a range of competitive skills and techniques in support of curating an industry-ready portfolio of practice. Whether your needs are practice-based (performance, inter-medial collaboration etc), or academic (review/article/essay/thesis preparation) I have the necessary experience and qualifications to ensure that you extend and develop your skillset, and achieve success.

Specialising in the creative and cultural sectors I prioritise agile, intra-disciplinary, and collaborative methodologies to ensure you achieve your best. I am passionate about working with creatives in developing the necessary skills and techniques to ensure your work is dynamic, clear, critical, and transformative. My academic portfolio includes training, research, and professorial posts in Australia, Ireland, America, and the UK - highlights include University of Oxford, Harvard University, and the Royal College of Music (London). My professional experience ensures academic support that is current, directed, and relevant on a local, national, and global scale. Tutorials are designed with your specific needs in mind. I offer online sessions during weekdays, evenings, and weekends - ensuring maximum flexibility and ease. Any academic level is welcome - and any age!
