About Alan
I've worked in Top 10 Global creative agencies, working as an Art Director, Copywriter & Creative Director.
However, during that time, I've helped other people discover their own talents - not by following my ideas, but by creating their own work.
My own work ethic is very much 90% perspiration, 10 % inspiration. At the workplace I was usually first in – and last out.
Working as a creative, designer, writer or wannabe film director isn't easy, but with a bit of effort, the rewards can be fabulous.

I've spend years in the best advertising & design agencies in the world. More importantly for you, I have tutored and encouraged people with talent to grow.
I show people how to develop their career as as creative proffessional. To do this I cover: How to discover your own brand. Which sector of the creative industries are right for you - Designer, Art Director, Copywriter or Creative Planner.
I"ll show you a time-honoured technique for having ideas. And simple and impactful ways to visualise these ideas (drawing skills not essential!). How to write engaging and persuasive copy.
I'll also touch on film direction & production and also writing for radio — and how to get the best out of your script.
I cover the start-up skills in InDesign and Photoshop and how to produce pitch-winning layouts for digital and traditional media.
I'm educated to degree level. I've worked as an Art Director, Designer and Copywriter in Top 20 UK and Global agencies and worked on fabulous brands such as Mercedes-Benz, UPS, Emirates Airlines, IBM, Microsoft, L'Oreal and Marriott Hotels.
I've also been visiting lecturer at School of Communication Arts, BCoT and University of Westminster.
My lessons are for everybody from 6th Formers, Art Students and anybody that wants to get started or improve a career in the Creative Arts. Anybody from 16 to 30.
