About Matthew
For over three decades, I've dedicated myself to tutoring mathematics, with a pivotal moment occurring when I joined Broward College in 2005—the same institution where I had previously earned my AA degree.
During my impressive tenure of 18 years at Broward College, I proudly received three prestigious accolades, marking significant milestones in my teaching journey:
- Professor of the Year (awarded within my first year of teaching)
- Endowed Teaching Chair Award
- Online Professor of the Year

My teaching philosophy revolves around prioritizing the comfort level of students as paramount. Beginning with a clear explanation of concepts in straightforward language, I then guide students through the mathematical aspects of the topic.
Drawing on my extensive experience, I initially align my teaching approach with the methods employed by students' original instructors to minimize confusion. However, when traditional methods fall short, my unique "superpower" comes into play. I possess the knack for breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, transforming math into an approachable and comprehensible subject.
I offer remote instruction in mathematics and algebra to students of diverse age groups, including those at the college level. By the conclusion of our collaboration, my goal is for students to have conquered many of their apprehensions surrounding math.
