Bass Lessons Nick is offering lessons on bass guitar and double bass to students at all levels, from beginners looking to start a new hobby to pros looking to sharpen their skills or broaden their knowledge of a particular area (e.g. a bass guitarist switching to double bass or an experienced reader learning to improvise). This can focus in on applying theory, technique, reading, improvising, and working on your unique sound. Music Theory Nick can tutor you through ABRSM graded music theory exams, or just help you analyse your favourite music so that you can understand it in a whole new way! Lessons are tailored to the individual needs and tastes of each student but a healthy holistic approach including playing by ear, reading, improvising, and learning to play your favourite music is always a healthy starting point! Nick is equally enthusiastic about taking you through conventional graded exams or letting you learn in your own way. All of this will give you quick progress but also the skills to forever improve into the future. Nick specialises in contemporary music - jazz, rock, reggae, funk etc - but has real life experience doing all sorts. First Lesson A first lesson is all about getting to know each other and deciding on what the student can start working on to start making improvements in their musicianship immediately. From there, every musical journey is unique. Get in touch and book your first lesson - all you need is your instrument and your love for music!
