About Steve
My professors in graduate school were always supportive as long as I was putting forth my best effort. As a teacher and a tutor, I want to pass this same support along to my students. I don't teach because I have to, I teach because I want to. Once I understand where you are having difficulty, I will do my best to develop materials and explanations to get you to understand the material. We won't quit until you feel comfortable with the material. We can meet at our house, at our church, or any other quiet public place that you feel comfortable with.

Initially I will ask you to share with me where you are having difficulty. Then, using your text, problems, test results and/or individual questions, we will work problems, discussing each step to ensure your understanding. You can inject questions at any point. Definitions and concepts will be clearly explained where needed. All formulas will be broken down into five basic pieces just to show how they all use the same information. Microsoft Excel is a common software package available that can be used for introductory statistics. TI-83/84 calculators can perform all necessary calculations for smaller data sets.
