About Nathaniel
I am a passionate musician and dedicated piano teacher who loves helping students discover their confidence and creativity through music. My own musical journey has included studying piano, learning music theory and sight reading, exploring jazz and contemporary styles, songwriting, performing, and completing musical training through the Juilliard School’s extension program.
I enjoy working with students of different ages and experience levels, especially beginners and children who are just starting their musical journey. I believe learning music should be enjoyable, encouraging, and something students look forward to each week. I am patient, supportive, and committed to helping every student improve at their own pace.
As a teacher, I focus on building strong fundamentals while also allowing students to explore the music they love. Whether someone wants to learn classical piano, jazz, pop, rock, chords, songwriting, or simply learn how to play their favorite songs, I work to make each lesson personal and meaningful.
Music has played an important role in my life, and I want to share that passion with others. My goal is to help students develop not only their piano skills, but also discipline, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

My piano lessons are designed to be personalized, engaging, and encouraging for students of all ages and skill levels. I believe every student learns differently, so I take the time to understand their goals, interests, and current abilities. Whether you are a complete beginner, a young student learning the basics, or an experienced player looking to improve, I create lessons that are comfortable, motivating, and productive.
During lessons, students can learn piano technique, music theory, sight reading, chords, scales, rhythm, ear training, and how to play songs they enjoy. I also help students develop proper hand position, coordination, timing, musical expression, and confidence at the piano. For students interested in songwriting, pop, rock, jazz, or contemporary music, I can incorporate those styles into lessons as well.
My goal is not only to teach students how to play notes, but to help them understand music and enjoy the process of learning. I want students to leave each lesson feeling accomplished and excited to practice. I encourage patience, consistency, creativity, and a positive mindset so that students can continue growing as musicians both inside and outside of their lessons.
I also bring experience from my own musical training, including studying jazz piano, learning to read sheet music, performing, and completing training through the Juilliard School's extension program. I use my experiences as a musician and teacher to create lessons that are both educational and inspiring.
