About Yumin
Hi, I’m Yumin from Quanzhou, Fujian, China. It’s my first year in Brisbane, and I’m now studying for my second master’s degree at The University of Queensland. I speak standard Mandarin and earned the First-Class Grade A Certificate during my first master’s in China. I’ve also tutored English for Year 7 students. I’m gentle, patient, and friendly, and I hope my students and I can learn and grow together.

I believe that learning a language should be fun, relaxed, and full of encouragement.
In my Chinese lessons, I focus on helping students feel confident to speak naturally and express themselves freely.
I use interactive methods such as role-playing, storytelling, and games to make the class lively and enjoyable. Each lesson usually lasts about one hour, and I adjust the pace and content according to the student’s goals and learning style.
I graduated in Communication from Hainan Normal University and am currently pursuing my second master’s degree at The University of Queensland. My background helps me teach with patience, care, and clear communication.
My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and beginners who want to learn Chinese for daily conversation, school, or personal interest.
I can also prepare lessons based on the materials provided by students or parents to make learning more tailored and effective.
