• When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

  I developed a love for music, especially about drums at a very young age. My parents used to bring me around local bars to check out party or cover bands, I couldn't keep my eyes off the drummer. I was very fascinated by it. Another thing that triggered that love is that in my house there's music playing all day.

• Is there a particular type music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

  I grew up listening to whatever my parents were playing on the stereo, from Country to Pop. The first time I fell in love for drums and wanted to give it ago was when I saw on TV Travis Barker playing with Blink-182 the song "Down".
  That was the beginning of a very tight relationship with Punk-Rock and Pop-Punk. Throughout the years I became a very open minded drummer, I love and listen almost every style of music out there from Funk to Jazz, Blues, Reggae, Pop and many more.

• Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

  I'm not the kind of teacher that label lessons as "difficult" or "easy", for some learners "easy" things are hard and for others "hard" tasks are easy. It's all about understanding what the student needs.
  Overall, music is about having fun and not getting frustrated about it.

• What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

  I think there is not complicated or easy instruments to learn, I think it's all about how much you practice and how bad you want it.

• What are your keys to success?

  My key for success is to wake up early every day and plan your day ahead, set yourself daily goals and tasks and work hard on it. Don't be afraid to fail, it's all part of the process.

• Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

  I would really love to meet Travis Barker, Paul McCartney and Dave Grohl. I admire them all not only for the compositions they wrote but also for the drive they had throughout their careers. I would really love to feel and understand their connection with music.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

  When I joined music school I straight away felt part of a community, part of a big family where everyone try to help and support each other. That's how I lived it and that's how I would love my students to experience it. Music is not about competing with others, its not a sport.

• What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

  I take teaching very seriously. I believe I'm a very professional and passionate teacher.
