About Lynette
One of the first things I address when working with the student on their learning goals is how to boost their confidence. I work with you to find out what you are interested in and incorporate that into our lessons. I give a lot of verbal feedback in the form of praise, clapping, and smiling when answers are correct. Even if there is a lull moment, I will still encourage and support you that: You can do it!

My teaching method includes learner-centered instruction; content based instruction; the natural approach, Multiple Intelligences Theory, and story telling. In a typical lesson we will work on your desired goals and set them in a realistic and desired timeframe. We will establish what you can do, the gaps in your knowledge, what you like, and what you need to learn English for- everyday life, Conversational, Academic, or Business English. We will use various authentic resources like textbooks, workbooks, articles from magazines or online, novels, etc. to develop and augment your English skills. What sets me apart from other tutors is that I'm real. I can tutor anyone with a desire to learn, who applies themselves and takes ownership of their learning journey.
