About Ryan
I've worked as a teacher for 7 years in state, independent and international schools. I've taught Maths to every year group from KS3 to KS5. In addition to this, I've also tutored Physics and Mandarin at A-level and the Oxbridge entrance exams in Maths (STEP and MAT). Before each lesson, students will receive questions created specifically for them, they attempt these questions and send me the photo of their work a day before the lesson where possible. These questions allow me to find the gap in their knowledge. During the lesson I review their performance and provide yet more practice and feedback on the areas of their weaknesses. For online tuition, I use a Surface Pro laptop on my end and share my screen with the students through Skype or Zoom. Surface Pro allows my screen to function as an interactive whiteboard as I can put up any PPT or PDF resources and write on it using the surface pen, which writes very smoothly and feels like writing on paper. To compensate the fact that I can't see what students are writing in an online situation, I ask students to take photos of their work and send them to me through Whatsapp or any other app they prefer.
