About Peter
I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Botany from Bangor University and a PGCE in General Science with Biology from Bath University. I have been a successful classroom teacher delivering biology, chemistry and physics to GCSE and have nearly a decade of experience delivering A level Biology. My work has taken me all over the world but I have also spent half my career teaching in the UK and I am familiar with the new 9-1 course at GCSE and with A level courses from OCR, AQA and Edexcel.

My teaching philosophy is simple - develop good relationships and work from there. My methods are to use pictures and diagrams where possible - including video resources - and to help secure a good grasp of the language needed to explain a concept succinctly. I am considered a good communicator and being both creative and imaginative I like to come up with new approaches to help explain difficult topics.
