My name is Kanchana, and I am a passionate and dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer with years of training and performance experience. I began my journey in classical dance at a young age and have continued to develop my skills through disciplined practice and guidance from respected teachers. Teaching Bharatanatyam brings me immense joy, as I believe in passing on the beauty and depth of this sacred art form to the next generation. I am committed to creating a respectful and encouraging learning environment where students feel inspired to grow. Whether you are new to dance or looking to refine your technique, I bring patience, clarity, and professionalism to every lesson. As a dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer and teacher, I offer structured and inspiring lessons tailored to each student's age and skill level—from complete beginners to intermediate learners. My classes focus on building strong foundations in posture, hand gestures (mudras), rhythm (talam), and expressive storytelling (abhinaya). I use a traditional yet student-friendly approach, combining discipline with encouragement to help students develop confidence and grace in their dance. Each lesson is typically 60 minutes and includes warm-up exercises, technique drills, and practice of adavus, jathis, and short choreographies. I also introduce the cultural and spiritual significance behind the dance to deepen students' understanding and appreciation. With years of training under respected gurus and experience performing and teaching, I bring authenticity, patience, and passion to every class. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults who are interested in learning Bharatanatyam for performance, cultural connection, or personal enrichment.
