About Anakha
Hello! My name is Anakha, and I am a passionate Bharatanatyam teacher with over 15 years of training and experience in this beautiful classical dance form.
For me, Bharatanatyam is more than just dance—it is a journey of discipline, expression, culture, and self-discovery. I am dedicated to helping each student develop strong technical skills while also understanding the emotions, storytelling, and traditions that make Bharatanatyam so unique.
I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching to suit individual learning styles and goals. Whether you are a complete beginner, looking to refine your technique, preparing for performances or examinations, or simply wish to learn Bharatanatyam as a hobby, I will guide you with patience, encouragement, and structured lessons.
My classes are welcoming, engaging, and focused on building confidence alongside technical excellence. I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel inspired to grow, express themselves, and develop a lifelong appreciation for Indian classical dance.

As a Bharatanatyam teacher with over 15 years of training and performance experience, I believe in nurturing both technical excellence and a deep appreciation for India's rich classical dance heritage.
My classes begin with warm-up exercises and body conditioning, followed by adavus (basic steps), posture correction, rhythm practice, and technique refinement. As students advance, I introduce jathis, abhinaya (expression), choreography, and performance preparation. I also explain the cultural, historical, and spiritual significance of Bharatanatyam so that students understand the meaning behind every movement.
I adapt my teaching methods to suit each learner's age, experience, and goals. Whether a student is learning Bharatanatyam as a hobby, preparing for stage performances, or seeking professional training, I provide individual attention and constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
My classes are suitable for children, teenagers, college students, and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners. I strive to create a positive, disciplined, and encouraging learning environment where students not only master dance techniques but also develop confidence, creativity, grace, and self-expression.
