About Katherine

I am originally from the Dominican Republic, and I am fluent in both Spanish and English. As a dedicated elementary school teacher, I place a strong emphasis on creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. My goal is not only to teach students academic skills but also to make sure they feel comfortable and safe as they navigate their learning journey.

About the lesson

One of my core teaching principles is patience. I understand that every child learns at their own pace, and I take pride in providing the individualized attention they need to succeed. I always take the time to get to know each of my students and understand their learning styles and personal goals. Building this connection helps me craft lessons that are relevant and engaging, tailored specifically to their needs and interests.

When I begin a lesson, my first step is to assess the students’ goals whether they are looking to improve their language skills, deepen their understanding of a specific subject, or simply gain more confidence in their learning. Based on these insights, I create a customized lesson plan that incorporates a mix of teaching methods designed to cater to each student's unique strengths and areas for improvement.
