About Bilgen
Methodology
I provide tuition services at all levels in English from complete Beginners to Advanced learners who may need specific modules to improve their written or spoken language skills. Therefore my lessons are tailored to the learners’ objectives and areas for development. I am pleased to teach about the culture as well as the English language and my learners consider my tuition style as fun, motivating and enjoyable whilst learning a great deal in each lesson.
Background
I graduated from Hacettepe University, which is one of the most acclaimed academic institutions in Turkey. I have a first class BA Honours Degree in English Language and Literature as well as a degree certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I completed my CELTA degree in 2015 and became a CELTA qualified Teacher of English. I have been tutoring on a part-time basis since 2008 and I have had the pleasure to help around 1200 students so far in their journey into the English language. Upon request, I also assist learners into KET/PET exams where the results are always satisfactory. Since 2012, I have been working as a full-time teacher of English in a private school environment in Turkey and providing private tuition to those interested.

I give lessons to all levels, along with specific needs students; such as writing and speaking. Thus the lesson structure depends on the student and the student's needs. I am not only giving grammar lessons but also teaching the culture along with the language.
